About Me

My name is Jenna Brooks and I am a Senior at Animas High School. I love to read, write and draw. My interests include writing poetry and snowboarding. Some of my favorite books are A Game of Thrones, Clan of The Cave Bear, and Ajax; a Greek tragedy written by Sophocles . I just returned from an exchange year in Italy and am so excited to be back at Animas . I'm from Durango Colorado, I was born and raised here. My goals include graduating collage and writing a novel.

Classes

My classes include Humanities, Math, Art and Journalism. In humanities we are studying economics and government. In the first project we will be focusing on the first Amendment followed by a project on personal finance and finally an analytical research paper at the end of the year, for our final senior project. In math I am taking Pre Calculus. I decided to take art this year because while I was in Italy I fell in love with sketching and I want to study art and see if it's something I want to do in college. Finally, in journalism I am the vice editor and chief of the Animas Quill, our school newspaper, and will be reporting on various types of news as well as writing at least one editorial.
